Oh, the Places We’ll Go!

As part of our continuing partnership with Essex Book Festival, we co-hosted a fun-packed afternoon of storytelling and family activities with a theme of journeys, adventures, and places around the world, both real and imagined.
The event took place at The Transition & Foyles Bookshop in Chelmsford City Centre, during the opening weekend of the Chelmsford Festival.
At Foyles Bookshop we had a pop-up storytelling armchair, and at The Transition there were Traditional Stories from Africa and Djembe drumming with Efua Sey Korbi, Chinese calligraphy workshops with the Colchester Chinese Culture Society, flash fiction writing, Bollywood dancing with ABCD Bollywood Dance School, and bilingual storytelling with JaJaJa Books.
